My wife and I are very happy we went with Ultimate pools by Fetter for our pool. We talked to a couple of other companies and were impressed by Fetter because they didn’t try to talk us into anything we didn’t want. They were patient with us during our design phase as we started out wanting a spa and water feature and then changing our minds to just getting a pool. At no time did they try to talk us into into getting a particular pebble finish or plaster finish for the interior. Ross was straight forward about what he thought would work best for us and told us the pros and cons for every decision we made. He was great at explaining the process and what to expect each step of the way. Once the pool was complete, they have been great at answering all of our questions about pool chemistry too! We would definitely recommend using them to put in your pool! We went with a French Gray plaster and love the way the water color turned out.

We absolutely love our pool done by Ultimate Pools by Fetter! Ross is by far the most knowledgeable pool contractor out there and we had quotes from 6 different contractors. Ross went above and beyond researching laws to allow us to change our backyard, that other contractors wanted myself to do. He is definitely a step a head of the game at all times. I highly recommend this company to any one thinking about building a pool. Ross was with us a 100% of the way and a phone call away at all times if needed. We will have a lifetime of memories in our backyard due to what Ross created for us.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a pool and spa combination worth it in Riverbank's climate? +
Yes. Riverbank’s Central Valley climate gives you roughly 5–6 months of comfortable pool weather, but a heated spa extends backyard use through the cooler months from October to March. Many Fetter clients say the spa ends up being used more consistently year-round than the pool — particularly in the evenings when temperatures drop.
Can a pool and spa combination fit on a smaller Riverbank lot? +
Yes. Spillway spa designs are particularly well-suited to compact yards because the spa sits above and adjacent to the pool rather than beside it at grade — adding functional and visual complexity without requiring significant additional footprint. Fetter designs many pool and spa combinations for newer Riverbank neighborhoods where lot sizes are tighter.
How does a pool and spa share equipment in Riverbank? +
Integrated pool and spa systems share filtration and circulation equipment, reducing the overall equipment footprint and operating cost. The spa is plumbed on its own heating circuit so it can reach temperature independently without heating the entire pool. Fetter sizes all equipment for Central Valley conditions and designs for efficient year-round operation.
How much more does a spa add to the cost of a pool in Riverbank? +
A spa adds cost for additional excavation, structural work, plumbing, and a dedicated heating system. Integrating a spa during original pool construction is significantly more economical than adding one later, since excavation, plumbing, and equipment are all handled in a single mobilization. Fetter provides a detailed estimate that covers both pool and spa before any work begins.
Does Riverbank's soil support raised spa designs? +
Riverbank’s hard pan soil profile is generally well-suited to the additional load that raised spa and masonry designs place on the surrounding ground — it doesn’t shift or expand the way expansive clay does. Fetter’s site assessment confirms bearing capacity for each property before the structural design of any raised feature is finalized.
